st. georgeified

About a month ago we had a fun vaca to St. George with Jake's family! It was a much needed vacation and we all had a blast! The weather wasn't very warm, but we didn't mind - it was great being with family (some that we hadn't seen in 2 years) (we missed Morgan though, but were glad to see him for a few days later) visiting, eating, and relaxing!

The first day we were there we swam and had a yummy dinner together and stayed up late talking! Thanks to Jake's Aunt Pat and Uncle Jeff for letting us stay at their gorgeous home!

The next day the guys golfed in the morning and the girls watched the kids and played some games at home. That afternoon we headed to "Fiesta Fun" and had a blast!

The kids rode in this awesome bumper cars!

Then the adults got to do some racing too!

Barb was the most entertaining to watch - we were all excited to see what she was going to do around every turn!

Next were the bumper boats! These were a lot of fun!

It was such a fun trip! And we didn't let the cooler temperatures and clouds get us down!

Stephanie took some fun pictures of Jake and I while we were there, thanks Steph!

Jake and I had to come home a day earlier than everyone else (darn summer school)! On the day we left all the adult girls went and got our nails and toes painted, then went shopping to a few stores. It was a lot fun!

Thanks so much to Mom and Dad Peterson for planning such a fun vacation!!! It was so great being able to spend a couple days together in St. George! And we miss all the out of town family already!

mother's day

I know I am a little behind in posting this, but I couldn't skip over such an amazing holiday, Mother's Day!

I am SO grateful for all the amazing Mother's that are in my life!
I feel so blessed to know so many amazing woman, and be able to learn from them each and every day.

I'm grateful for my own Mom and that I have such an amazing mother-in-law. I am so lucky to have married into such a great family. I owe so much to her, seeing that she raised my amazing husband, I know he was taught from the best.

They both are such wonderful examples to me, as I look forward to being a Mother someday.

I have such an amazing Mother, she seriously is the most amazing woman EVER! There is no contest there. I just hope that someday I can be half as wonderful as she is.

She's a great listener, and always there for me when I need her.
I love running errands with my Mom, even if it's just to the store and back, I love my time with her.
I love watching HGTV with her, and that we have our favorite shows to watch together.
She can sew ANYTHING - from dresses to quilts to pillows, you name it she can sew it.
Just a few words to describe my Mom: beauitful, loving, caring, smart, funny, patient, and so many more.
I look forward to the days when we can run errands around town together all day long and shop just like we used to with Grandma Pat.
She will drop anything to come and help you whenever you need her.
I have always been so close to my Mom, and our close relationship is something that I cherish.
I talk to her multiple times a day - and I love it!
It sometimes makes me sad when I realize that in a little over a year from now Jake and I will living out of state for a few years and I won't just be able to drive home whenever. But don't worry, I will be visiting LOTS and there will always be room wherever we go for visitors! (hint, hint mom and dad) :) And when we are done with school we will be back here and those shopping sprees can begin!

I just feel SO blessed to be able to call you MOM,
I love you!

We had a fun Mother's Day a few weeks ago!
A delicious dinner, followed by presents and darn good chocolate cake!
Mom, I love you! Thanks for being such an amazing example to me and the world's greatest Mother!

And an amazing Grandma!
