GG fashion 2011

So, I thought it would be fun to do a post on some of the dresses from the 2011 Golden Globes!

Let's take a little sneak peak inside some of the dresses that were worn that night.
I'll highlight my top 5 favorite and top 2 least favorite for you!

Top 5 Favorites:
Angelina Jolie: Emerald green I noticed was a HUGE hit this year, love this vintage style dress

I LOVE sparkles, I think this one that Olivia Wilde wore was gorgeous

Anne Hathaway looked beautiful in this gown, I love that the long elegant sleeve look is back in

I just love Amy Adams, and I think this dress she wore is so pretty and classy

I think this dress Emma Stone wore was simple yet gorgeous

Top 2 least Favorite:

This dress worn by Julianne Moore, not quite sure what to think about it

And last...this little number here. I think Helena Carter was trying to decide between red and green shoes but couldn't make up her mind

And there you have it, some of what I think were the highlights and lowlights of the GG this past year! I am not an avid watched of the GG Awards, but I do love to see what everyone wears to the red carpet. It's fun to see styles come and go, and usually come back around again!

I would love to hear what you all think about the outfits, or if there was a favorite of yours I didn't highlight - let me know!

going green

For Christmas I received some of the CUTEST new green decorations for my house. Thanks to my sweet husband Jake and my amazing Mom, my house is now looking soooo cute with some new green accents!

.a new table centerpeice.

.LOVE the new lamp that Jake surprised me with AND the cute vintage table that my Mom sanded, painted, and found a cute knob for! Thanks Mom! This table dates back to the 1830s we found out, how cool is that!?.

.a new picture for our wall that I absolutely LOVE.

.a some lovely accent pictures to go along side my clock.

It's so fun to get new things that make your house (or apartment in our case) feel more like a home! We love them!

And in other news....it's FRIDAY! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

happily ever after

Once upon a time, there lived a young girl named Natalie and a young boy named Jake. They both grew up in the same city. They both had a wonderful childhood, full of fun memories. One day, Natalie's Mom pulled out her beautiful wedding dress that Natalie was able to try on. She felt like a Princess and dreamed of the day when she would meet her Prince Charming.

Years went by and both Natalie and Jake grew up and it came time for Natalie to start high school. One night while attending a wedding reception was the first time they saw each other. Both of them were thrilled to find out that they would be able to soon go to school together. Soon the two were able to get to know each other more and started dating.

Jake graduated High School and was called to serve an LDS Mission in San Fernando California. Natalie stayed in Utah and had a fun filled Senior year of High School, and went to a year at UVSC.
They wrote to each other every week during those 2 years, never missing one single week.

After Jake returned home from his mission, he and Natalie picked up right where they had left off! They were together every day, pretty much inseparable. Natalie kept feeling as though she had met her Prince, and Jake his Princess.
A few months went by and on October 11, 2008 Jake took Natalie out to a very yummy dinner. At a restaurant called "Five Alls", a favorite of the couple. Afterwards they enjoyed a ride in a horse drawn carriage through the park. The carriage soon stopped and they got out. Jake, now down on one knee asked Natalie to marry him, and be his Princess. She said YES!

On January 16, 2009 they were married for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. Words cannot describe all the feelings and emotions that were felt on that very special day. Truly, the most wonderful day of their lives! What a special day it was, to be surrounded by their closest family and friends and have a wedding celebration.

Happy 2 year Anniversary sweetheart! These past 2 years have been the best of my life! I look forward to spending the rest of forever with you!! I love you and I love having my happily ever after with you

choc·o·late

one of my "new year's resolutions" is to be a better blogger! I have family that lives away that I don't get to see everyday, so I have decided this is a perfect way to stay in touch and keep up on each others lives.

first things first: I know, I know, I need to get with it and post pictures from the AMAZING Christmas holiday we had - that will be coming very soon!

now to something I know lots of people love, and something that the majority of us ate WAY too much of over the holidays is .... chocolate!

I LoVe chocolate! I looked up the definition just to see what I could find;
choc·o·late  (chôk-lt, chôklt, chk-)
n.  1. A small, chocolate-covered candy with a hard or soft center.
     2. Fermented, roasted, shelled, and ground cacao seeds, often combined with a sweetener or flavoring agent.
Personally, my absolute favorite is dark chocolate, I prefer it over milk chocolate anyday!
so...I want to take a little poll to see who out there likes which one more: dark, milk or white??
