flashback friday

This picture makes me smile everytime I see it! It takes me back to the night it was taken in 2005. Jake was a senior and I was a sophomore! He was getting ready to graduate like 4 days later, and I was sad (hence if you look close there are tears in my eyes) because he was graduating. This was the night of the "Extravaganza" which is our last huge choir concert of the year/the most fun concert! I can't believe that its been almost 6 years since Jake graduated High School and almost 4 for me! It's crazy how fast time flies! And now here we are...6 years later, and have been married for over 2 years! Love you Jake!

Some other favorite things about this picture are: our white CTR bands Jake and I wore, Jake's "tipped" highlighted hair, my very white blonde hair (I had it highlighted that day and lets just say it was REALLY blonde) and how YOUNG we look! I think about that everytime I see this picture, we look like babies!

P.S. Em and Carl...you best be ready to par-tay tonight!! Yay!!!

I know, I know, I have been MIA recently - not to worry! This post will just be full of some fun and random things that have been going on in our lives recently and thoughts I have had!

- Jake has decided that he is going to do Optometry School! Which means that a little over a year from now we will be heading out of state for school for 4 years! As much as I know it will be hard and sad to leave, I know we will be back to Utah when we are done AND it will be worth it in the end. Plus it will be fun to have a little adventure! The places we are looking at are: California, Arizona, Oregon, and Ohio. Jake will be taking the OAT this summer/fall, which is the Optometry Admission Test. We just hope we get lots of visitors wherever we go! Crazy!! (This is a shout out to my amazing husband: Congrats on getting 98% on your last test!! You're the best! Love you!)

- We have become AVID BYU fans and watch every Basketball game that has been on tv recently! They are doing so well this year! Today was their first game in the Mountain West Conference Tournament and they WON, barely but they WON! Here's to keeping that up! - Go Jimmer! Go Cougars!!

- I am SO over this COLD weather and snow we have been having! I hope that it starts to warm up soon so I can start taking pictures outside with my new camera!

- Jake's Spring Break is all week next week, YAY!!! We have some ideas of fun things we want to do, so lets hope we can fit them all in!

- I am currently on the hunt to find a cute Easter Dress - so far I have not been successful! It's so hard to find a cute dress these days. There always seems to be plenty of shoes that I want but never the dress that matches! If you know of any cute places for my to check out, let me know!

- Last weekend Emily highlighted my hair for me, I LOVE it!! Its so fun to have blonde highlights in it again to get me excited for summer to come! Thanks Em!

- If you want a laugh I have a youtube clip for you! I saw this video recently and it made me laugh SO hard! It was so cute!

- Earlier this week, I got to chat with Nie Nie for a minute on fb chat!! Yep we were on at the same time, it was awesome - she is amazing!

- I am loving that WEDGE shoes are in this season, love them! I am currently trying to find the perfect pair to go with my spring wardrobe!

- Cadbury eggs are out in the grocery stores...mmm! Do you like them as much as me and Jake?! I bought some of the DARK chocolate ones this year along with the normal ones, and they are so yummy!

- I have a bunch of books lined up I need to read/finish : I just need more hours in the day!

- I painted my toes HOT PINK this past week, and it made me wish summer was here RIGHT NOW!

How amazing does this place look below....if I could escape here over Spring Break next week it would be HEAVEN!
